Activity Flow:
• Friday afternoon we will be developing each army and going through some required training. Equipment testing and field preparation will be needed to be completed. That evening we will begin our 20-hour limited combat immersion.
• Saturday will be the unrestricted immersive combat, which will take up most of the day. It will follow with cultural activities. The evening, we will have a soirée at Café Louis for the two armies to come together socially, after combat. We will pace the day to minimize burn out and fatigue but maximize the fun and camaraderie of the immersive experience.
• Early Sunday will be the expected departure time for the event.

Maintain the style of hair and facial hair required by your national army unit for 1940. This will be on average, short hair off the ears and no beards. If you have long hair keep it covered.

Army Directors:
There will be army Directors for each army, Matthew Tobin & Craig Alarie (Allied) and Aaron Bosnick & Gentry Herring(German), who will monitor their camps and make sure they are cleaned up before departure. Please leave the area cleaner then how you found it.

Photographer:
‘Leslie Granda-Hill’, will be taking photo and videos throughout Saturday, please note we will have fewer photographers then in the past, so you are encouraged to take your own photos and share on FB.

Command Structure:
Please note that if you are joining us that you will be expected to perform your duties late Friday and all Saturday as if you are a mobilized soldier in Spring 1940. Military protocol will be required. There will be an established Commander and Non-Commissioned Officers that must be listened to if their commands are lawful and safe. We want you to have an enjoyable experience but would like the immersion to not be broken. Please present any concerns to your chain of command or event staff with any discrepancies. This is a non-negotiable command structure which will be broken down by army Friday evening. We understand a mixture of units will be in attendance that is why we must state this concern.

We encourage you to bring any period-correct camp site props that can help enhance the immersive experience i.e. road signs in French, roadblocks like cheveaux-de-frisse , sandbags, communication equipment, medical gear, flags, table, chairs, bicycles etc..

Vehicles:
If you have interest bringing vehicles correct to 1940, please contact us to discuss first.

What's New:
  • The German camp will be more conveniently located in the reenactor parking over flow field area on the right as you enter.
  • Due to increased civilian interest, we will be encouraging a mid-day village scenario at the fort for Allies and Germans
